Something sweet and something sour are the essential ingredients for making sweet and sour turkey nuggets. These bite-sized nuggets make a fantastic finger food idea for accompanying an aperitif with friends or, in a larger quantities, as an excellent second course with a difference. Like lemon-flavoured chicken, these sweet and sour turkey nuggets also recall the Chinese recipe, even though they are made from all-Italian ingredients. It is very easy to make these sweet and sour turkey nuggets: just follow closely all the steps in the recipe!
Using a wide shallow pan, add the water and sugar, stirring all the time as you heat them. When you have obtained a sort of syrup, add the vinegar and tomato. Mix and cook for a further 15 minutes on a very low heat, remembering to stir constantly. In a frying pan, fry the turkey nuggets with a little olive oil and a sprig of rosemary. Add salt and pepper to taste and continue until the meat is cooked.
When the turkey is ready, add it to the sweet and sour sauce, stirring well and cook together for a few minutes before serving. This sweet and sour turkey is the ideal dish for your office lunchbox, accompanied with a portion of boiled basmati rice: flavour is the sole protagonist of this recipe!
